We are an MVA-authorized Maryland safety inspection station serving Frederick County, Carroll County, Howard County and Montgomery County. The inspection standard is identical everywhere in Maryland — what varies is how far you have to drive and how long you wait.

Not on the list? The safety inspection requirement is statewide and we are happy to inspect a vehicle from anywhere in Maryland — the list above is simply where most of our customers drive in from.
We perform the state safety inspection. We do not perform VEIP emissions tests or State Police salvage inspections — nobody at a private station does. These are the state-run facilities nearest our service area, with addresses as published by the MVA.

Open Monday–Friday 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM. The nearest MVA branch for most of lower Montgomery County, and next door to the Silver Spring VEIP station.

For the safety inspection, no. The standard is set by the Maryland State Police and is the same at every licensed station in the state. You can be inspected anywhere in Maryland regardless of where you live.
For VEIP, yes — eligibility is based on your registration address. Every county we serve is in the programme area, so local drivers should expect the biennial test. See our VEIP guide for the full county list.
Appointments recommended, walk-ins welcome during business hours. Most inspections finish in 1–2 hours.
